Spring is finally in the air in London, here are our suggestions of what not to miss this March.
Garden of Light
A Garden of Light full of daffodils is popping up by St Paul’s. Created by the Marie Curie charity to mark the start of the Great Daffodil Appeal 2017, the garden will feature 2,100 handmade daffodils, each representing a Marie Curie nurse and the care and support they give to families affected by terminal illness. As night falls they will light up Paternoster Square.
This poignant tribute includes pathways weaving in and out, audio stories from beneficiaries of Marie Curie care, and a memory wall where visitors can post messages.
London Beer Week
Taking place Monday 13th March – Sunday 19th March, London Beer Week is a true celebration of beers, ales, lagers and ciders alike. As well as a three day Beer Edit in the Oval Space, East London creating a fantastic beer village there is also a crammed timetable of pop-ups, dinners, parties and brewery tours all over the city. Our neighbours Outlaw’s at The Capital will be hosting a fantastic beer paired dinner with Cornish based Sharp’s Brewery.
The Serpentine Galleries
The Serpentine Galleries comprises two galleries situated 5 minutes walk from each other on either side of The Serpentine Bridge in the heart of the Royal Park of Kensington Gardens in central London. The galleries present world-renowned exhibitions of art, architecture and design throughout the year and with Spring in the air there is no better time to enjoy a stroll around Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park to work up an appetite before a leisurely lunch in the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen.
