3 things to do in London this August

Summer is underway, albeit with some classic British weather mixed in, and we thought we would share our top 3 picks of what you should get up to this August.

Underbelly Festival at Southbank

Underbelly has merged with London Wonderground bringing a mash of the best live circus, comedy, cabaret and family entertainment to the heart of London. The short, affordable shows are a fantastic way to discover new and established acts or simply enjoy a drink and bite to eat in one of the city’s largest outdoor bars and soak up the festival atmosphere on the Southbank this summer.

Buckingham Palace State Rooms

Buckingham-Palace

Each summer The Queen’s London Residence opens to the public while the State Rooms are not being used in their official capacity – the State Rooms are where The Queen and Royal Family receive and entertain their guests on State, ceremonial and official occasions.

Explore 19 of the Palace’s 775 rooms, make the most of your visit with an audio tour (there’s also a family option with a little extra help from Rex the Corgi).  You can combine a visit with a guided tour of the beautiful gardens including the Rose Garden and Palace tennis court where King George VI and Fred Perry played in the 1930s.

This is a rare chance to catch a glimpse inside of one of the most famous buildings in Britain and a must for locals and visitors alike.

Tickets start from £23, upgrade to a Royal Day Out ticket and view The Queen’s Gallery and The Royal Mews – the finest working stables in the world.
